Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 30, 2026

Warm Minimalism (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website warmminimalism.de. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have. We keep this policy in plain language on purpose — if anything is unclear, please contact us through our Contact page.

Who Is Responsible for This Website

Warm Minimalism is a style publication about Scandinavian-inspired outfits and capsule wardrobes. The operator’s full name and postal address are published on our Impressum page, as required by German law. For any privacy question, you can reach us at any time through the form on our Contact page.

What Data We Collect and Why

Visiting the website

When you open a page on warmminimalism.de, our hosting server automatically records technical information in server log files: the page requested, the time of access, your browser type and version, your operating system, the page you came from (referrer), and your IP address in shortened form where possible. This data is needed to deliver the website securely and to fix technical errors. It is not combined with data from other sources and is deleted automatically by the host after a short period.

Contact form

If you write to us through the contact form, we process the name, email address and message you provide so we can read and answer your enquiry. This data is used only for handling your message and is not passed on to third parties or used for advertising.

Comments

If comments are enabled on an article and you leave one, the comment, your chosen name, the time of posting and your IP address are stored so the comment can be displayed and spam and abuse can be prevented.

Cookies

This website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device. Some cookies are technically necessary for WordPress to work (for example, security and load-balancing cookies). Others are only set by services described below, such as statistics and advertising. You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings and you can block them entirely; the website will still work, though some functions may be limited.

Statistics (Jetpack Stats)

We use Jetpack Stats (Automattic Inc., USA) to count page views in a privacy-friendly way. Jetpack Stats records general information such as which articles are read, where readers roughly come from, and which links are clicked. It does not build advertising profiles and we do not receive information that identifies you personally.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We plan to display advertising on this website through Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited). When ads are active, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) and at aboutads.info. Non-personalized ads do not use cookies for ad personalization. Google’s own policy explains in detail how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Pinterest and Embedded Content

Some articles contain Pinterest save buttons or embedded content from other services. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you visited the other website directly: those services may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with the embedded content, especially if you are logged in to an account with them. This applies in particular to Pinterest (Pinterest Europe Ltd.) and Google Fonts, which are loaded from Google’s servers and therefore transmit your IP address to Google.

Who We Share Data With

We do not sell personal data. Data is only processed by the technical providers needed to run this website (hosting, statistics and — once active — advertising, as described above). If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email.

How Long We Keep Data

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the enquiry. Comments and their metadata are kept for as long as the article is published, so follow-up comments can be recognized. Server logs are deleted automatically after a short period.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: request information about the personal data we store about you; have incorrect data corrected; have your data deleted; restrict processing; receive your data in a portable format; and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, a short message through our Contact page is enough — we will respond within the legal deadline.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how this website works — for example by adding a new service — we will update this page and note the new date at the top.
